Has WHO turned into an anti West Ham site?
All I've read lately is moaning. Moaning about the the OS, moaning about the players, moaning about Bilic, moaning about Noble, moaning about the football.

Moan, moan, fucking moan.

For over forty years I have followed this club, seen it yo-yo between the top two divisions, having relegation scraps, and the odd cup win. It's been the norm since the clubs inception.

Yet now there seems to be a mentality that we deserve to be a top six side, and anything else is below par.

We have never been a top six side for two seasons on the trot - ever. So where is this ridiculous mentality coming from?

People screaming for Bilic's head? Oh, do fuck off!

We have never had a manager so passionate about the club for decades. We should be proud of that, not stabbing the man in the back.

The OS, okay, it isn't the Boleyn, but it's our home for beyond any of our life times. Accept that, move on, and if you really don't like it, then do one. You won't be missed.

7 points from the last three games will do me for now. I've seen us outplay play other teams and up with fuck all endless times as we all have.

I think if I were going to games constantly instead of 4-5 a season I too would be moaning quite heavily, just watching the highlights of yesterdays game was painful.
It is all down to your character some will take the points over substance and some will want to be entertained.
The only thing that is ridiculous is a continuous diatribe of disdain, that is rather pathetic.

It's an internet forum, of course people are going to moan. The OP needs to stop being so precious. As for telling others they don't agree with to stop going. Those sorts of remarks are best left to the 10 year olds in the playground.

Think it's frustration more than anything else to be honest.
Yesterday was pathetic,
The football is awful.
We appear to have gone backwards from last season.
Bilic doesn't appear to know how to set up the team or get the best out of the players.
Worst of all and most disappointing the summer recruitment was pitiful.
Other than that things could be worse I suppose.

There's some cunt stands behind me who's repertoire is basically:

- slagging off payet at every opportunity

- shouting that everyone else is a tourist

The bloke is a fucking cunt of the highest order. Probably on here.

Fairlop?

Plenty of space to build a ground but no transport links to speak of apart from Barkingside and Fairlop tube

Re: Has WHO turned into an anti West Ham site?
We indeed did own the place, but I understand we were more than maxxed out on what we could borrow against it and all that was needed was for one of the creditors to call in a loan/not extend or roll-over credit and we were sunk. In that respect, owning the drum was not an asset.

Now we have a fixed-term lease that will continue so long as we abide by the terms - terms the owners negotiated and signed (and I assume include get-out clauses for both parties).

As for the gravel extraction, the area to the south of Crow Lane & north of The Wantz was one big gravel/sand pit while I was growing up in the area. That's since closed and I believe it was a landfill site before filling in and being built on. That extraction has now moved north to an area bounded on the south bt the Eastern Avenue and west by Whalebone Lane. When that area is depleted, the extraction will move south again to take in the old training ground/Westlands playing fields.

As for the transport situation, the A12 is close, the A13 not that much further away and there is still a site on the railway at Jutsums Lane for the proposed but unbuilt station. If Cross-rail are also building a fly-under there to their sidings south of the line, the addition of platforms for a sports stadium should also be economically viable.

Fairlop is probably as good a call, but I don't know that area as well.

Re: Has WHO turned into an anti West Ham site?
Re the OP. Not really. It’s just a lot of people are pissed off with stuff that’s been going on/is going on.

This place reads like a Karren Brady fan site compared to KUMB. And has done for months.

MO

The thing is we didn't need to find anywhere, we already owned the place. There simply wasn't the will to finance it. Will never happen now and they will never finance the necessary improvements to the OS

I can't imagine gravel extraction in the middle of a residential area would go down too well with the locals either

Re: Has WHO turned into an anti West Ham site?
Chadwell Heath couldn't cope with the transport, I'd imagine. Is Fairlop the nearest tube?
